How to fishing the Rabbitfish

I. Introduction
Siganus or rabbitfish can be found in the tropical water from Indo-Pacific through eastern Mediterranean.
They are Herbivorous and feeds mostly on Algae. They live among shallow coral reefs and jetties.
There are many species and some of the species commonly found on Indonesian waters are:

  • Siganus Guttatus or Orange Spotted Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Tompel.
  • Siganus Javus or Streaked Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Angin.
  • Siganus Canaliculatus or White Spotted Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Susu/Lingkis.
  • Siganus Virgatus or Barehead Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Kea-kea/Kalung.
  • Siganus Stellatus or Brown Spotted Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Lada.
  • Siganus Vermiculatus or Vermiculated Spinefoot, or in Indonesian Baronang Batik.

Wave through to 5M. in Indonesian seas

Indonesia Meteorological and Geophysical Agency (BMG) gave early warning for anyone who wanted to go to sea. The wave through to 5 metre had potential happen till May 14 2008.

On Saturday (May 10, 2008), BMG recorded that the wave high 3-4 metre had potential happen in the South China Sea and Philippino Sea, whereas the wave high 4-5 metre had potential happen in Andaman Sea and West Aceh sea.
This was dangerous for all kind of the ship.

The wave high 2-3 metre had potential happen in west Bengkulu sea, west Enggano sea and West Lampung, south sea of Java, Kai, Arafuru, the northern of Sulawesi sea, Sangihe Talaud sea, and Banda Sea.
This was dangerous for the fisherman’s boat, and barge.
